This coming weekend brings the Cleveleys Car Show which is a town centre display of sports, classics, American and interesting cars. There will also be cars on the New Promenade as well as a display of model aircraft. A programme of live music and entertainment is planned for the Plaza meaning that the Show should provide something for everyone.

Bank Holiday Weekend

Quite a few interesting events locally this bank holiday weekend – Chipping Steam Fair and the East Lancashire Railway’s 1940s weekend kick off, as does Darwen Live which is now one of the biggest “free to attend” music festivals in the UK. Meanwhile, Guy’s Thatched Hamlet on the canal near Bilsborrow has a gigantic field full of fun… over 30 bouncy castles, slides, ball ponds & giant inflatables mean children can squeeze, bounce, crawl and slide through every shape and size of inflatable available.

Lego Animal Trail

One for the Lego enthusiasts this week, as the Lego Animal Trail returns to Martin Mere Wetland Centre. There are 14 individually designed 4 ft high sculptures inspired by some of the real animals seen at martin mere, including an Otter, Hawaiian Goose, Kingfisher and 3 new surprise models.
