Elsewhere Lytham Festival will host its first ever BBC Music Introducing stage at Lowther Pavilion on Monday July 8. Some of Lancashire’s hottest up-and-coming music talent Blanket, Jekyll, Pip Hall, Nana White Pepper and Emily Rhodes will all perform.
And returning favourites The Mersey Beatles will present a special 50th anniversary tribute to the classic Abbey Road album at Lowther Pavilion on Tuesday July 9.
Electronic new wave band The Human League open the festival’s main arena in Lancashire’s leafy Lytham on Wednesday July 10. They’re supported by Voice of M People Heather Small with pop-rock band China Crisis opening the show.
The following night, Thursday 11, sees one of Britain’s biggest bands Stereophonics headlining with support from uber talented singer-songwriters Tom Grennan and Jade Bird.
Globally celebrated superstar Kylie will headline on Friday 12 performing a series of career-spanning hits from her unparalleled back catalogue. Brit singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis Bextor will support and Radio 2 DJ Ana Matronic will warm up the crowd.
While Saturday night (July 13) will see legendary rock superstar Rod Stewart headlining with his unique voice and styling bringing a show which promises to be filled with both classics and new hits in his dazzling signature style. Pop superstars Wet Wet Wet and blues rock guitarist Joanne Shaw Taylor will open the show.
Lytham Festival will close on the Sunday July 14 with a glittering and dazzling Hollywood Proms finale celebrating music from the movies with headliners Michael Ball and Sheridan Smith.
