Touring

We offer a range of pitches that vary in size, but in general our hard standing touring pitches are approximately 100m2. Each pitch can comfortably accommodate a touring caravan, motorhome or campervan along with your car and awning or gazebo.

Please note that we have a ‘strictly no commercial vehicles allowed on park’ policy and only British made coach built caravans and motorhomes are allowed. Please call if you are unsure and require clarification.

Pitch types

Fully serviced pitch
A gravel hard standing pitch for your touring caravan, motorhome or campervan with car parking and awning space, electric hook up point, water tap and drain.

Electric hook up pitch
A gravel hard standing pitch for your touring caravan, motorhome or campervan with car parking and awning space and electric hook up point.

Hard Standing pitch
A gravel hard standing pitch, for your touring caravan, motorhome or campervan with car parking and awning space.

Camping – Tent pitches

Whilst we are intending offering tenting this season, our tent field is presently undergoing major renovations & improvements. If you wish to book a tent pitch this summer please telephone to check on the up to date position regarding availability; it is a grassy farm field shown on the pictures on our Gallery page. This field overlooks the lake on the opposite side to the lodges area. Please note that it is approximately 270 metres from this tent field to the amenity facilities (toilets, showers & washing up sinks). You also need to be aware that you have to walk on the road alongside the lake to the amenity building and please bear this in mind if you have children as it is not suitable to let them wander there alone. The road / pathway is shown on the pictures so you can see where it is in relation to the amenity building and its close proximity to the lake.

Grassy tent pitches are approximately 700 ft sq (65 m2) i.e. 20’ x 35’ (6m x 10.5m). There is plenty room to pitch your tent, eat outside and park your car. Most tent pitches have an electricity hook up (charged at £3 per night)

Tent Sizes

Tents sizes & prices are sometimes a little confusing for guests – initially you pay for the size of the tent (including 2 people) and then an extra fee for additional people.

For instance, if you book an extra-large tent for only 2 adults you would pay the extra-large tent pitch price only. Alternatively, you may have a medium sized tent for 2 adults and 2 children then you would pay the medium size tent pitch price and £2 per each additional person per night.

Tent sizes are:

Small under 65 sq. feet (9′ X 7′ or 8′ X 8′ approx. or 2.5m x 2.5m approx.)

Medium tent 65 – 100 sq. feet (10’ x 10’ approx. or 3m x 3m approx.)

Large tent 100 – 150 sq. feet (10’ x 15’ or 12′ x 12′ approx. or 4m x 4m approx.)

Extra-large tent 150 - 250 sq. feet (12′ x 20′ or 16′ x 16′ approx. or 5m x 5m approx.)

XX Large tent 250 sq. feet and above (larger than 16′ x 16′ or 5m x 5m)
